Priddy Farms

Yesterday, Ryan and I took Harrison to Priddy Farms to pick pumpkins. I took him last year at 4 months old, and he couldn't even sit next to the pumpkins. This year he had a hayride, walked around the patch, played with pumpkins and corn, and played in the playhouse. I'm looking forward to making this a family tradition.

We started of by taking a Hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

Where we walked around ( and laid down) for a little bit

and checked out some pumpkins.

Then we headed back to the farm house, where we walked around with our very own pumpkin we picked.

and showed it off to Daddy.

Then we got distracted by the corn. Out of the nearly 1,000 pumpkins to play with, Harrison was WAY more excited to play with the one little basket of corn. What can I say, he does LOVE his corn!

Then we stopped for a picture with Mommy

Played Peek-a-Boo in the playhouse

and stopped for a family photo - too bad, Harrison looks super happy in this picture. Haha!

And perhaps Harrison's favorite part of the day... the slide

Where he would slide down with a HUGE grin on his face

and walk/climb back up to do it again, and again, and again.

And just incase you haven't seen enough pictures from our day... here is one last one.

Slacker

Surprise, Surprise.... I have once again been slacking on my blogging. I don't think I have done a monthly update since 8 months or so. So here is a way over due update:

12 Months

  • Weight: 20.11 (25%)
  • Height: 30 (50%)

15 Months

  • Weight: 22.8 lbs (25%)
  • Height: 30 1/2 in. (25%)
  • Sleeping: 8:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. most nights. I can't tell you how thankful we are that little man is sleeping through the night - this didn't happen until 10 months. Yes, 10 MONTHS!!! I may be partly to blame because I never did the "cry it out" thing, but really Harrison?!?
  • Naps: Usually one, two hour nap a day. Harrison dropped his second nap on his own around 12 months - trust me I didn't encourage that one!
  • Food: Harrison has turned into a little piggy. There isn't much he won't eat, especially if Mommy and Daddy are eating it. Three bottles a day - that is the next thing I have to work on getting rite of.
  • Clothes: 12-18 months
  • Diapers: size 3
  • Teeth: 8 - 4 on top and 4 on bottom
  • Talking: Harrison is quite the little talker so far his words include (in order): Momma, Dadda, ball, dog, hot, and his favorite.. what's that. Not to mention numerous sounds including screams and something that sounds like a bird. One of the cutest is the zooooom sound he makes when he pushes his toy truck around.
  • Crawling/Walking
    • 9 months - army crawling
    • 10 months - crawling
    • 14 months - walking - he could have walked much sooner, but he didn't seem to have an interest in it.
  • Tid-bits: Harrison is all boy and all over the place. He loves to open and close doors, turn off the lights, push the dining room chairs around, push/run with his walker, climb the stairs, play with the Iphone, look at pictures of himself, love on his blankie, watch Yo Gabba Gabba, be chased by Daddy, take baths, and play outside. Harrison loves it outside so much, that he cries whenever we bring him inside - I think we are going to be in trouble this winter.
I don't feel like this even covers half of everything Harrison does. I can't say how much we love this little boy and how thankful we are to have him in our lives!! He is perfect in each and every way!

And since I can't post without a picture. Here is Harrison's last monthly photo on his hippo - I can't believe I actually got him to sit on that thing for all 12 months.

Just a Trim

Harrison is barely 15 months and is already on haircut number 3! Taking Harrison to get his haircut is something I dread. Not because he gets upset, he actually does really well, but because I hate to see those sweet baby curls get cut off. If it weren't for Ryan nagging me to cut his hair, I would probably never take him. Here are a few pics from his third haircut.

In the following picture you may notice two things... first the IPhone and second Harrison's choice of pointer fingers. Let me explain...

The IPhone may just be Harrison's favorite thing. He likes, make that LOVES, to look at pictures and videos of himself. He has even learned to flip the pictures with his finger as fast as can be. He loves it so much, that it has become a little secret weapon that I use when he is upset. It can be quite embarrassing in public, when the only thing that will calm down my 15 month old son is an IPhone.

Secondly is the finger. Ever since Harrison started pointing, he has pointed with his middle finger. Recently it has gotten quite bad because he will raise his hand in the air with his middle finger extended and say, "what's that?" I can only imagine what people think.

I love the following pictures because they capture two memories I don't want to forget - his IPhone obsession and his middle/pointer finger confusion.

Concentrating so hard!

I love the little tear on his cheek in this one.

Checking out his new hair cut.

I am ashamed that I never posted pictures from his first haircut, I will hopefully get around to adding them soon. "Better late than never," has become my new blog motto

My Big Back Yard

Since the weather is finally getting nice and Harrison is walking everywhere, yes I did say WALKING, we decided to head outside to the Big Back Yard today at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. Side note - since I am a horrible blogger and haven't written a post about it... Harrison started walking about a month ago (14 months). Here are a few pics from our day.

We started out with a little swinging with Mommy

... and with Daddy!

Then we headed over to the playhouse, but not before we stopped to pose for a picture in this thing.
Playing in the playhouse
Doing his favorite move - touchdown!

Where's Daddy???

And on to the tunnels - I think this was Harrison's favorite part. Just look at that smile!
I LOVE this one!

Watch out for Daddy!

All worn out - time for a drink!
